Andrea Booth

Andrea Booth serves as the Intake Coordinator for the Tulane University Center for Brain Health. As part of the intake team, she will be responsible for coordinating the schedules for various providers, as well as booking travel and other logistics for the veterans. She is a licensed, ordained minister who has worked with homeless veterans through her church.

Jacques Courseault, MD

Whether you are an athlete or “normal everyday person,” Dr. Courseault takes great pride in helping people recover from injuries that do not require surgery. Through his experiences as an athletic trainer, personal trainer, Associate Chief Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Fellow in Sports Medicine, he has learned many ways to evaluate and treat patients using conservative measures. He will take the time to learn more about the cause of your injury and examine your individual biomechanics that may be contributing to your discomfort.

Cheryl Abana-Emmer, MHS, CRC, LRC, CCM

Cheryl Abana-Emmer is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor and Certified Case Manager for the Tulane University Center for Brain Health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of New Orleans in 2008 and Master of Health Sciences in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2011. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Margaret Watson, PT, DPT, CBIS

Maggie is a physical therapist for the Tulane University Center for Brain Health. After completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO, she traded the Midwest winters for New Orleans summers. She has experience rehabilitating adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with orthopedic and neurologic injuries. Over the past several years, she has been involved in developing programs for patients with acquired brain injuries.

Heidi Breaux

Heidi Breaux is a licensed clinical social worker serving as Clinical Therapist for the Tulane University Center for Sport. Heidi has been a social worker for more than 15 years. Since 2014, Heidi has taught graduate students in social work at New York University and Tulane University School of Social Work. As a social worker, Heidi has worked with the veterans community since 2007. Heidi worked at the Brooklyn VA hospital and the VA Harlem Community-Based Outpatient Clinic.

Camilo Fernandez, MD

Camilo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics, currently serving as Research Director for the Center for Sport and the Center for Brain Health at Tulane University School of Medicine.  In this position, he fronts the Centers’ efforts to build, expand, and strengthen its research portfolio, as well as oversees all research-related operations across all divisions.

Eric Blevins

As the Sports Law Program Manager for the Center for Sport, Eric is responsible for coordinating academic, research, student, and community activities, including the coordination and implementation of the Tulane Sports Executives Club, the Center for Sport Speaker series, Sports Law competitions, educational development, career services opportunities, and other events for the Center’s overall mission.
