Biography
As the Director of Community and Veteran Engagement, David’s responsibilities include the comprehensive strategy and implementation of all community engagement initiatives for the Center for Sport at Tulane University. These initiatives include the development of outreach programming, coordination of community partnerships, and advocacy of military veteran and athlete populations.
David served as an Army Officer for over 20 years. His career included three combat tours, serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan.David is a vocal advocate for the Veteran Community and has had the honor of leading soldiers at many different levels. His experiences/skills include project management, operations, personnel management, strategic planning, and training management.
Contributions
Awards include three Bronze Star Medals, the Combat Action Badge, The Global War on Terrorism Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Citation.
