NOLA Volleyball Analytics Camp

Analytics has already changed the way baseball, basketball and football are played, don't you think it's volleyball's turn?

Over the course of five days, we will talk volleyball strategy, dive into some data, and think about how we can start our own analytic revolution. 

Sports Analytics Series

Engage in a 4-part series covering the basics of this exciting sports career. 

By the end of the series, participants will be able to calculate and analyze player performance and team performance, and interpret results from a statistical analysis.

Refreshments provided.

Open to all Tulane students, free of charge. Does not qualify for course credit.

Bidding for Mega Sporting Events

Network with industry professionals and learn what it takes to win a bid as a host site for major sporting events.

By the end of the sesion, participants will understand the process for planning, managing and executing major sporting events, and measure the economic impact.

LHSAA Covid Q&A with Dr. Gregory Stewart

Center for Sport at Tulane co-founder Dr. Gregory Stewart will host a LHSAA Covid Q&A Zoom at 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. CST Tuesday, June 2.

Athletic trainers, coaches and staff are encouraged to email questions before 3 p.m. June 1 to LHSAA.COVID19@gmail.com.

The seminar is for high school athletic trainers, coaches and administrators. Dr. Stewart will answer questions submitted on COVID-19 and return-to-play for LHSAA member high school’s athletic programs. A sampling of questions submitted include:

3rd Annual Tulane Women in Sports Law Symposium

Tulane Sports Law Society is hosting its 3rd Annual Tulane Women in Sports Law Symposium virtually on May 11th at 5:30pm CT.   This online event is invitation only, and is hosted by Tulane Sports Law Society, rescheduled from March.

The speakers list, subject to change, includes:

Unified Basketball Game

The 4th Annual Special Olympics Unified Rivalry Basketball Game between Tulane and LSU will be held in the Devlin Fieldhouse at Tulane. Doors open at 1 p.m., game starts at 2.

Two teams, one consisting of Tulane students and Special Olympics athletes and the other of LSU students and Special Olympics athletes, will compete for bragging rights and the Unified Rivalry Cup. The game will take place at Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
